MESSAGE::
The claim that other styles are a watered down version of Muay Thai is definitely an overstate. All the takedown techniques I saw in Sanshou were not from Muay Thai. The only things I saw in common are kicks and punches. Perhaps, Muay Thai guys like to claim that they invented kicks and punches and any other styles having kicks and punches are watered down version of their styles. LOL
