Your message board will be created automatically as soon as you decide to give us a try. Messages are organized in the standard "threaded" format, so that anyone interested in the responses to a specific message can easily read each of the replies. An individual message can contain up to 5,000 characters, and the board will hold an unlimited messages at a time. (After that, the messages in the oldest of the threads are simply removed automatically.) Your message board will have an easy-to-remember URL, such as http://www.123forum.com/YourID/. Finally, you will have the option of previewing messages before they appear on the board, if you wish to act as moderator or screen messages for content or language.

Our software makes it easy to add your own logo or text to each message page. For example, you can add up to 10 KB of text at the top or bottom of the page, and you can use HTML formatting commands to control the appearance of your text. You can also set up different headers and footers on the main page that displays the list of messages. In addition, our software allows you to control the appearance of the message list... You can easily add spaces, lines, or even an image of your choosing between messages to make them easier to read. If you wish, it is also possible to change the order in which threads are listed, so that the most popular threads (rather than the newest ones) are displayed first. Finally, you can select the colors you wish to use for the page backgrounds, text, and buttons, or place a custom image before each message title. You can even change the text of the menu buttons and the date/time display. (For example, you might wish to use "Check for errors" in place of the usual "Preview" button, add a display of the current time, or specify a European or American style for the date display.)

Our message board software includes a number of optional features which you can turn on or off at any time using your message board's administration area... For instance, an easy-to-use message search option allows your visitors to search through the messages for any that contain particular keywords. (The search box can be placed at the top or bottom of the message list - or both.) Other options will allow users to post messages that include HTML formatting, or to post their own polls. (A user's message can include up to 10 possible answers to a question they would like to pose, and the software would make it easy for the other users to select the choice they wish to vote for.) Optional spam controls would bar a user from posting an excessive number of messages, by requiring a delay of a minute to an hour between posts. (Displaying users' IP addresses in their postings is another possible way of cutting down on abuse.)
Finally, the software can be set to automatically replace emoticons such as :D with smiley images such as .
